Murray C. Killingsworth

Murray Killingsworth, PhD, FRMS, FFSc (RCPA) Murray Killingsworth is currently Principal Scientist in the Electron Microscopy Laboratory of the Sydney South West Pathology Service, New South Wales Health Pathology, Liverpool. He is a Conjoint Associate Professor in the South Western Sydney Clinical School, UNSW Australia and the School of Medicine, Western Sydney University. Murray obtained his PhD from UNSW School of Pathology in 1989 based on ultrastructural studies in ageing and degeneration of the human retina. His research interests focus on the cell biology of chronic inflammation in renal disease, retinal disease and cancer. In 2010 Murray was awarded a Founding Fellowship of the Faculty of Science of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. In 2013 he established the Correlative Microscopy Group at the Ingham Institute of Applied Medical Research, Liverpool. He is currently using nanoparticle-based immunocytochemistry to probe cell function in human pathology samples.
