Zhen Chen 24th Australian Conference on Microscopy and Microanalysis 2016

Zhen Chen

I received my PhD degree in the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China in 2014, with the thesis entitled "Microstructure, Electronic structure and Electron energy loss spectroscopy study on functional oxides". I was in Stuttgart Center for Electron Microscopy (StEM) in Germany in 2012-2013 as a visiting student. From 2014 to now, I'm working in Monash University, Australia as a post-doctor. I have been working on several areas in transmission electron microscopy from experiments and density functional theoretical simulations of EELS to quantitative STEM imaging and spectroscopy. Currently, my research interests are mainly in atomic-resolution EDX quantification and new possibilities in electron diffraction by using an atomic size STEM probe (4D-STEM).
