Candace C.I. Lang
Candace Lang is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Macquarie University. She holds the Foundation Chair in Mechanical Engineering: Macquarie will see its first cohort of Mechanical Engineering students complete their degree in 2016. Candace received a PhD from the University of Cape Town (UCT); since then she has been active in the development of novel metallic materials for applications as diverse as jewellery, catalysts, and medical electrodes.
Candace's research focus is the development of novel materials for engineering applications. Current interests include metallic nanoparticles, novel metal phases and the strengthening of metallic materials.
