Dmitri Golberg

Dmitri obtained his MSc and PhD degrees from Moscow Technological University "MISIS" and Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy, Moscow, in 1983 and 1990, respectively. After working in Germany as a Max Planck Society Fellow, he moved to Japan in 1995. At present he is a Nanotube Unit Director and Principal Investigator of the National Institute for Materials Science "NIMS", Tsukuba, and a Professor of Tsukuba University. His research is focused on the synthesis, electron microscopy and property analysis of diverse inorganic nanomaterails. Dmitri is author of more than 580 refereed original papers which yielded more than 24000 citations (H-factor 82). Among his numerous awards are Tsukuba Prize (2005), Research Front Award (2012), Seto Award from Microscopy Society of Japan (2013) and Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher Nominations (2014, 2015). At present Dmitri is listed among 120 most-cited world materials scientists on the Web of Science.
