The Australian Microscopy & Microanalysis Research Facility (AMMRF) is a national collaborative research facility offering Australian publically funded researchers equipment, instrumentation and expertise in microscopy and microanalysis. The AMMRF is funded by the Commonwealth through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS), state governments and partner institutions.  In addition to supporting instrumentation and collaboration, the AMMRF has developed an excellent source for online microscopy training called MyScope.  MyScope includes training modules for Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), X-Ray defraction (XRD), Scanning Probe and Atomic Force Microscopy, Confocal Microscopy, and Microanalysis.  We are hoping to expand our modules to include Image Analysis and Ethics. Images, digital data and image ethics fits well as an additional chapter for MyScope because it is a point of convergence for all different instruments and techniques. And it fills a gap in all of the other modules teaching microscopist about handling their digital data.
